Newly released footage has revealed the terrifying moment a Frontier Airlines aircraft struck a person on a runway at Denver International Airport, causing panic among passengers and triggering an emergency evacuation. According to reports, the individual allegedly breached airport security before walking onto the active runway moments before the collision.
The Frontier Airlines Airbus A321neo was preparing for takeoff to Los Angeles when the incident occurred late Friday night. Air traffic control audio captured the pilot urgently reporting that the plane had “hit somebody” and that smoke was filling the aircraft cabin shortly afterward. Emergency crews quickly responded as passengers evacuated using emergency slides.
Authorities confirmed the trespasser died at the scene, while several passengers suffered minor injuries during the chaotic evacuation. Federal investigators, including the FAA and NTSB, are now examining how the person managed to access the restricted runway area and whether airport security procedures failed.
The disturbing video has since spread across social media, sparking renewed concerns over airport perimeter security and runway safety in the United States.
