Live updates on the shocking disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie. Authorities have released bombshell new photos and video allegedly showing an armed suspect outside Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona home on the night she vanished.
The images reveal a masked individual wearing gloves, a zipped jacket, and a backpack, standing at her front door. FBI Director Kash Patel shared the photos publicly for the first time, marking a major breakthrough in the investigation.
Investigators also searched a Rio Rico home linked to a person of interest. Meanwhile, a former FBI agent suggested the suspect’s unusual handling of a firearm and attempt to disable a Nest camera indicate inexperience.
The $6 million bitcoin ransom deadline has passed with no confirmed developments. Savannah Guthrie described the situation as an “hour of desperation” in an emotional Instagram plea.
A man identified as Carlos, briefly detained during the investigation, has since been released, according to reports. He denied any involvement, stating he may have previously delivered a package to the home but had no connection to the kidnapping.
