New details from the National Transportation Safety Board reveal the terrifying final moments before an Air Canada flight crashed at LaGuardia Airport.

According to cockpit recordings, the flight turned from a routine landing into a deadly disaster in just three minutes. The aircraft was cleared to land while an airport fire truck was simultaneously allowed to cross the runway. Despite last-second warnings from air traffic control, the truck failed to stop in time.

The jet, traveling at over 100 mph, collided with the vehicle upon touchdown, killing both pilots and injuring dozens of passengers. Investigators also revealed serious safety concerns, including the fire truck lacking a transponder and possible confusion among air traffic controllers.

Authorities are continuing to investigate what went wrong in one of the most alarming runway collisions in recent aviation history.
