Global star Tom Cruise became the showstopper at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, triggering a frenzy on social media with a series of striking stunts. In the viral clip, Cruise jumps off the roof of Stade De France, the country’s national stadium, and makes a smooth landing on stage.

On the stage, Cruise is welcomed by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and American gymnast Simone Biles as he takes the Olympic flag from her. The 62-year-old Hollywood star then carries the flag on his motorcycle out of the stadium as ‘By The Way by Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ plays in the background.

The Mission Impossible actor Cruise is seen riding his bike past the Eiffel Tower in a pre-recorded segment, onto a plane and then skydiving over the Hollywood sign, where a wide shot shows the Olympic rings incorporated into the landmark in LA, which will host the next Olympics. The Olympic flag is then passed from US Olympians past and present followed by a beach party, where music icons the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre perform.

Cruise’s smashing entry and exit have left the internet stunned, and fans poured their hearts into the comment section. A fan commented, “Spectacular performance by you!!! How do you do it!!! Bravo. Much love.” Another fan said, “Better than the entire closing ceremony.”

Tom Cruise was earlier spotted during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics along with artists like Sarah Jessica, Ariana Grande, and others.

The Paris Olympics closing ceremony was a three-hour show created by Thomas Jolly, which began with a musical performance as an ode to the Games’ host city. French singer Zaho de Sagazan sang the famous ‘Sous le ciel de Paris’.
